Showcase

For an event with speakers of different languages and a diverse audience, simultaneous translation of the spoken word is required.

Premise

Before a product launch, all relevant employees and departments are to be informed about the current launch plans. Since all international branches are also involved, translations from several languages are necessary.

It is essential to avoid premature disclosure of the plans and details of the product launch. Various precautions are taken to this end. In particular, the technical infrastructure of the event must be secure.

Event Setup

A hall with a stage is planned for the event. There is a speaker's podium with a microphone on the stage. The speaker's podium is recorded with a camera and the camera image is projected onto the back wall of the stage. Rows of seats for the audience are set up in front of the stage.

Speakers who use different languages supported by Polypreter are planned. These presentations are to be translated into English and the translation displayed as subtitles on the screen.

Technical Infrastructure

The translation systems are to be integrated into an existing sound system for the event rooms. Speaker microphones, audio mixers, cameras and video projectors are already available.

The existing technology is supplemented by the Polypreter in the ‘Pro’ version. The signal from the hall sound system will also be connected to the audio input of the Polypreter. The video signal from the hall camera will be connected to the HDMI input. The HDMI output of the Polypreter will be connected to the video projector.

The Polypreter is configured so that the language on the audio input is translated and combined with the signal from the HDMI input as subtitles. Finally, the video signal is output via the HDMI output.

Optional Features

If you want to translate into several languages simultaneously, this is possible with additional Polypreters. These additional devices can then output further videos with subtitles.

The Pro version of the Polypreter also outputs a generated voice in the configured target language. This audio signal can be output via headphones, for example, or transmitted to another room.

A stream of the translated texts can be output via a web interface with the Max version of the Polypreter. This web interface can be accessed by the audience with their mobile phones, allowing them to follow the translation.

The Max version of the Polypreter can transcribe translated texts together with the original texts and save them together with a time stamp.
